Jules Verne's Mikhail Strogoff is launched

I was overwhelmed by the generosity and enthusiasm of the many supporters who turned up to help us celebrate the launch of my new translation of Jules Verne's Mikhail Strogoff, published last week by Eagle Books Adventure. Illustrator, David Allan, and I were honoured indeed by the presence of French Consul-General, Monsieur Nicolas Croizer, who spoke at the launch hosted by General Manager of Sydney's Alliance Française, Jean-Baptiste Milcamps.

The second launch event held on April 14 at the Leichhardt Berkelouw's Books store was equally well-attended. We were very well-looked after by Sarah Foster, of Berkelouw's, who had created a beautiful setting for the launch in their upstairs reading area.

It's terribly exciting to be able to set this beautifully illustrated limited edition book off on its journey into the Anglophone world once again. Only 750 copies of this special hardback edition have been printed, so head to www.eaglebooksadventure.com to see where you can get your copy.

A heartfelt thank you, too, to all the crowdfunding supporters who helped to finance publication. It was wonderful to see so many of you at the launches.
