The Lowly Creatures have arrived!

So excited to receive my copies of this sharp, satirical prize-winning novel by Gaspard Kœnig. This book made a big splash in France, winning a number of prizes, and was short-short-listed for both the Prix Goncourt and the Prix Renaudot. A philosopher, politician, teacher and author of fiction and non-fiction work, Kœnig is an impressive writer, and this novel is packed with ambitious ideas and a strong narrative tug. My translation will worm its way onto shelves 7 July in the US/UK - seek it out
